Issues:

Budgets: Overspending vs. necessities, misplacement of funds.

Development: Cleaning up existing land fills; relocating or new parks; water table; new cross walks

Poverty: Help; shelter; feed; eliminate

War: Change structure - no one wins with war

Education Programs: Implement new structures; develop self-esteem; support youth activities and art centres funding

Policing: Zero tolerance bullying; changes to Young Offenders Act; Public records of repeat offenders

Transit: Rural to town access for seniors, high school students *** issues with regional division and how they relate to elementary to secondary schools - lack of freedom of choice, non drivers, etc.

As Mayor I will represent Stouffville with integrity, confidence, compassion and open encouraged communication.

I hope to transfer all my valuable knowledge and expertise as a Crossing Guard, A Designer, A Project Trainer/Coach, a Health & Safety Representative, a Real Estate Representative, a Volunteer Fire Fighter, an Office Manager, a Project Manager and gain the support and trust of the community to be elected now, and term after term.

Past Accomplishments:

14 Years with Large Telecommunication Company; 4 promotions and more than 60 Certificates and Awards including an Award of Integrity; 2 years as a Real Estate Sales Representative winning the Directors Award; Certified Designer - specializing in Kitchens and Bathrooms, Certified Ontario Building Code - The House Part 9, Health & Safety and HVAC/Fire Protection, Certified Ballroom Dance Teacher, Certified Advanced Scuba Diver and I am presently studying for my Private Pilots License.

Goal: Next Four Years

Main goal is to be elected as Mayor. I hope to "WOW" Stouffville. I hope you recognize my potential.

I hope to successfully accomplish as many needed changes as possible adhering to the limitation of budgets and timelines.

I hope to reduce or eliminate existing debt and still maintain a healthy budget offering.

I wish to know more of the residents, create new social avenues, expand youth recreation resources, offer information sessions of healthy living, offer interaction with the community at a more accessible hour, visit site locations to have a deeper perspective of development issues and encourage proactive solutions.

Motivate balance and harmony within the home and work environment to reduce stress, And do everything for Stouffville to be the healthiest, most appealing community to live in.

Volunteer Experience

I enjoy volunteer work. I volunteered my entire life.

I have participated without prejudice to Variety Village Police Games, Green Peace Tree Planting, United Way CN Tower Climb, Heart & Stroke Big Bike Ride, Teen Challenge, Junior Achievement, Ballantrae School Girls Volleyball, Volunteer Fire Fighter - Ballantrae Station.

I will continue to volunteer.

Personal/Family

In 1999 I selected Stouffville to become our HOME. I have a humble lifestyle and live in a reformed cottage at Musselman's Lake.

Single mother since 1994 I have two grown daughters Karissa and Sarah. We have fiver pets; 2 dogs, 3 cats who are now either deceased or adopted out.
