SDSS Welcomes The Inside Ride
May 22, 2013
On April 26th students and faculty of Stouffville District Secondary School (SDSS) were pleased to welcome participants and supporters of The Inside Ride.
Students and faculty of over 50 teams and 20 student volunteers came together in support of childhood cancer in an indoor cycling challenge and fundraising event The inside Ride. On riding day student volunteers and the Inside Ride team came to set up the SDSS gymnasium while riders prepared themselves for the exiting event, by dressing in crazy and creative costumes. With a room filled with uplifting music and energized riders. They embarked on an extraordinary two-hour indoor cycling challenge that was fun, high energized, creative and filled with excitement! SDSS Student Lucy Cayton Says, "I was happy to participate in the ride! It was a great way get up and show our support for such a great cause.” At every inside ride the team dedicates the Ride to a cancer patient. This year at SDSS the Ride was dedicated to Adam. A young cancer victim filled with courage and strength. SDSS Students and Faculty are proud to say that they helped by raising a total of $20,000 last year. While this year SDSS students and faculty are exited to say that they raised a total of, $26,860! Students and faculty are now pumped and can’t wait until next year’s ride!
